Six couples of different ages live in an alley. One night of dreams unleashes in them the search for the object of their desire. Their interlaced stories leads them to being alone, dead and in love. As long as they don’t fall asleep.
An old library hides a group of women who live imitating book characters. Three men arrive to study the phenomenon and are seduced by them into a game that makes them unaware of what is real and what is not. A dark secret lies in the attic, where it was never allowed to give birth to a male.
At the outbreak of the Triple Alliance War, destiny gathers together a group of nine women looking for shelter while fleeing from the cruelty of the battlefield. They are Paraguayan, Argentinian and Brazilian. Without homeland or language they are united by their shared fate, wandering throughout the battlefields to survive.
